2020 - Enjoying working with San Diego Filipino Cinema, Film makers Benito Bautista and Emma Francisco on an exhibition and film/performance events in November of 2020 at the Bonita Museum. We received a California Humanities grant for this exhibition to support public programming.
Sine Kwento: Filipino Film and Stories : Sine Kwento “remembering our past by celebrating and sharing its inspiration” is an exhibition about the history of Philippine Cinema. Starting in the Philippines and then transitioning to California, the exhibition takes visitors from the beginnings of cinema into the modern age of media and content creation by Filipino-American vloggers in San Diego, California. The exhibit will include curated film production props used in some of the films made by Filipino filmmakers. The month-long programming will include Saturday film screenings of films created by global Filipino filmmakers, films projected intermittently on the wall of the museum and on a big screen TV. Programming includes panel discussions with Filipino-American filmmakers and creative collaborators in film, musical performances, and spoken-word (poetry) by San Diego FilipinoAmerican artists. Fabrication Project: Artist Brian A. Gibson for the San Diego History Museum, SD Zoo Global exhibition ( I was able to film/studio assist on this fabrication projects)
2019- Installed at the Bonita Museum during the Anthropocene exhibition. Dec. 2015 - Feb. 2016 - Artist Matthew Hebert's large scale public art piece "Information Retrieval" will be on display in the park located at Grand Ave. and Juniper St. in Escondido on December 12th, 2015 and at the California Center for the Arts Museum in January of 2016. Please stop by to enjoy some immersive art fun. Matthew has integrated local stories and poetry into the piece.
